Academix Offline Learning App
Lectures That Keep Playing When the Signal Drops
Not every student has reliable internet at home, and not every commute has signal. In classes where your institute turns on video downloads, students can save lecture videos in The Academix Android app while they have a connection and play them later without one.
Book a demo
Not every student studies on a connection that cooperates. Broadband at home can be inconsistent, mobile signal drops on a train or in a hostel room, and some villages barely have a connection at all. That is a reason streaming-only playback shouldn't be the only option.
The Academix Android app separates downloading a lecture from watching it. In classes where your institute has turned on video downloads, a student saves the lecture while on wifi, and it is stored on the phone in encrypted form. Playing it later needs no connection, and rewatching a section doesn't use data again.
Downloads stay on the phone while the student is signed in; logging out removes them. On iPhone, downloading uploaded lecture videos is not available yet and is coming soon.
Download on Wifi, Play Later
Where downloads are turned on for a class, a student saves a lecture video on the Android app before the signal drops, then plays it later with no buffering.
Designed for Patchy Connections
Download the lecture on wifi at home or at the institute, then play it on a train, in a hostel room or in a village with one bar of signal.
Your Institute Decides
Video downloads are switched on class by class. Your institute chooses which classes allow them, so lectures you want kept online stay that way.
Encrypted, and Only Inside the App
Downloaded videos stay encrypted on the phone and play only inside The Academix app. They can't be copied out and opened in another player.
Notes Open Offline Too
Other files a student downloads, such as PDFs and notes, open without a connection. Mock tests and live classes still need internet.
One Less Reason to Fall Behind
If the lecture was already downloaded, a bad connection on class day doesn't have to mean a gap in what a student has watched.
How Offline Viewing Works
Your Institute Turns On Downloads for a Class
Video downloads are a per-class setting. Students only see the download option in classes where it is on.
The Student Downloads on a Good Connection
In the Android app, the student saves the lecture while on wifi, before heading somewhere the signal won't be reliable.
The Video Is Stored on the Phone, Encrypted
The downloaded video stays encrypted and plays only inside The Academix app, with no buffering.
Rewatch Without Downloading Again
Rewatching a section uses no extra data while the student stays signed in. Logging out removes the downloaded videos.
Where Offline Access Matters Most
Competitive Exam Centers
Exam prep runs on repeated revision of the same lectures, often at odd hours, which is exactly when a stable connection is least certain.
Tuition Classes
Students study from homes with very different connections. Downloaded lectures mean revision doesn't wait on whoever has the weakest signal.
Defence Exam Coaching
Written-exam preparation stretches over months of self-study, and a downloaded lecture keeps revision going on days a connection can't be counted on.
How Can We Help You?
Lecture videos, in the Android app, in classes where your institute has turned on video downloads. Other downloaded files such as PDFs and notes also open offline. Mock tests and live classes need a connection.
Not yet. Downloading uploaded lecture videos on iPhone is coming soon. iPhone users can stream lectures in the app as usual.
No. The video is saved on the phone the first time, so rewatching it doesn't download it again.
It stays while the student is signed in to the app. Logging out removes downloaded videos, and the student downloads them again after signing back in.
Downloaded videos stay encrypted and play only inside The Academix app. This is encryption, not DRM — a determined viewer can still record their screen.
