Academix Role-Based Permission
Flexible, Secure and Custom Access for All Roles
The Academix lets administrators create their own roles and decide exactly what each one can see, add, edit or delete, so the right people get the right tools without sharing the owner's login.
Book a demo
Give a front-desk hire the same login as the owner and the institute has handed over more access than the job needs. Refuse to share that login and the same hire can't do the one thing they were brought on for. Most classroom platforms only solve half of this: every account has a base role, such as Teacher, Student, Owner or Staff, and that role decides which app or panel someone lands in when they log in. What it doesn't decide is what that person can actually see, add, edit, or delete once they're inside. The Academix adds a second layer on top of that base role: per-institute permission grants that define exactly what a given staff or tutor account is allowed to touch, independent of the coarse role that got them through the door.
An institute administrator builds these roles from inside the Institute panel, using titles such as Content Writer, Front Desk, Head of Department or Basic Tutor, and grants each one a specific combination of See, Add, Edit, and Delete permissions across the platform's modules. Two people with the same base account type can end up with entirely different permission sets, because the base role only determines the panel they open; the granted permissions decide what happens from there. A Content Writer can be scoped to publish lessons without ever seeing student records, and a Front Desk role can be scoped the other way around.
Roles and their permissions can be adjusted as staffing changes. Tutors' permissions are checked the same way in the Institute panel and in the mobile app. A permission withheld on web stays withheld on mobile.
Institute Panel Exclusive
Tailored specifically for use within the Institute panel, this segment of the feature allows institute administrators to delineate and manage the scope of access granted to various staff members, such as Content Writers or Front Desk staff.
Customizable Role Creation
Administrators have the flexibility to create distinct roles, each with a tailored set of permissions that define the level of access to the platform's features and data. This customization facilitates the precise alignment of staff responsibilities with their access rights, ensuring operational efficiency and data security.
Dynamic Role Assignment
Upon the creation of these roles, administrators can assign them to individual staff members directly from the Institute panel. This dynamic assignment process allows for quick adjustments to roles and permissions as the needs of the institute evolve.
Dual Platform Accessibility
Tutor roles and permissions apply in both the Institute panel and the mobile app, so a tutor has the same access whether they work from a browser or their phone.
Varied Role Definitions
Similar to staff roles, administrators can create a variety of tutor roles, such as Basic Tutor and Head of Department, each with specific permissions. This variety allows for a granular approach to access control, ensuring that tutors have the necessary permissions to fulfill their educational and administrative duties effectively.
Detailed Access Control
The feature provides detailed control over the actions tutors can perform, including the ability to See, Add, Edit, and Delete data and other institute assets. That keeps the institute's information in the hands of the people who need it.
How A Role Actually Gets Built
Create a Custom Role
An admin names a role from the Institute panel, such as Content Writer, Front Desk, Head of Department or Basic Tutor, rather than putting a new hire into a generic account type.
Grant Specific Permissions
Each role gets its own combination of See, Add, Edit, and Delete rights, scoped as narrowly or as broadly as the job requires.
Assign the Role to a Staff Member or Tutor
Once defined, the role is applied to an individual staff or tutor account directly from the Institute panel. Moving someone into a different role later is a configuration change, not a rebuild.
Enforcement Follows the Account
A tutor's permission set is checked on web and in the mobile app alike, so their access stays consistent on any device.
Adjust as the Institute's Needs Change
Reassigning someone to a broader or narrower role, or changing what an existing role can do, is a quick update from the Institute panel.
Where Scoped Access Matters Most
Institute Owners
Give a front-desk hire or a content writer exactly the access their job needs, without a shared admin login everyone has to trust equally.
Universities
Create roles like Head of Department with their own set of rights, instead of one blanket permission tier covering every faculty member on campus.
Training Institutions
Give a coordinator rights to the modules they run, such as classrooms and content, without handing over the owner's full access.
How Can We Help You?
The base role, such as Teacher, Student, Owner or Staff, decides which app or panel an account lands in when it logs in. Role-Based Permissions is a separate layer on top of that: it decides what a given account can actually see, add, edit, or delete once inside. Two accounts with the same base role can end up with very different permissions depending on how the institute has configured them.
Yes. A Content Writer role can be scoped to publish lessons without seeing student records, and a Front Desk role can be scoped to student records without editing content. Access is set per role, not shared through one login.
Yes. Tutor roles such as Basic Tutor or Head of Department get the same See, Add, Edit and Delete controls as any other staff role, and are enforced in both the Institute panel and the mobile app.
Staff work from the web Institute panel. Students, tutors and institute owners can sign in to the mobile app, and a tutor's permissions apply there the same way as on web.
Yes. Reassigning a staff member to a different role, or adjusting what an existing role is allowed to do, is a change made from the Institute panel; it doesn't require rebuilding the account.
You name your own. Content Writer, Front Desk, Head of Department and Basic Tutor are common examples, but the institute creates roles to match how it is staffed.
