The Academix Parent Portal

A Parent Portal That Answers "How Is My Child Doing?"

The Academix parent portal is a read-only website at parents.theacademix.com where a parent signs in with their mobile number and sees their child's attendance, test results, assignments, notices, upcoming schedule and progress charts. The institute switches it on and invites each parent. It comes with every plan, and a summary email goes out every Sunday.

Most of the calls a coaching institute's front desk takes from parents are the same few questions: was my son in class, how did he do in Sunday's test, is there homework due. The parent portal puts those answers where a parent can read them without calling. It shows the institute's own name, logo and colours, and it reads from the same attendance, results and assignment records your teachers already keep, so nobody types anything twice.

The portal is read-only by design. A parent can look, but cannot change a record or open a chat thread with a teacher. If the institute turns it on, a parent can ask for a call back about results, attendance, fees or something else; that request lands in a staff queue the front desk works through. Every parent screen also carries a WhatsApp button and a call button that open a conversation with the institute's own number.

What the parent portal does not do: there is no parent mobile app; the portal is a website that works in a phone browser; parents cannot message teachers; the only thing a parent can send is an optional call-back request; no fee balances, invoices or online fee payment; no SMS or automated WhatsApp messages; the WhatsApp button opens a chat with the institute's own number; no push notifications to parents.

The parent portal is included in every plan. Plans start from ₹1,500/month; the final price is quoted to your requirements.

1

Attendance, Results and Assignments in One Place

A parent sees attendance to date, every published test result with the subject-wise breakdown, and which assignments are submitted or pending.

2

Notices and the Upcoming Schedule

Notices the institute sends to the child's class or to the whole institute appear in the portal, along with one date-ordered list of the next two weeks: live classes, tests, assignment due dates and holidays.

3

Progress Charts a Parent Can Read

Subject-wise and month-by-month averages and the last five results are drawn as simple charts, and every charted figure is also written out as text.

4

A Weekly Email Every Sunday

At 6pm IST every Sunday, each parent with an email address on file gets one summary email covering all their children at the institute. The institute can switch the digest off.

5

Optional Copies of Student Alerts

When the institute sets up early-warning alerts for low attendance, a falling score or a missed test, it can choose to copy the student's linked parents on that email.

6

The Institute Decides What Parents See

Attendance, results, assignments, notices and schedule can each be switched off. Rank stays hidden unless the institute turns it on, and is only shown in batches of 15 or more students. Which lectures a child watched is off unless the institute enables it.

How an Institute Sets Up the Parent Portal

1

Switch the Portal On

An owner opens Parent Portal settings in the institute panel, turns the portal on and chooses which sections parents can see. It is off for every institute until someone turns it on.

2

Invite Parents From the Student's Page

Staff add a parent on the student's Parents tab, up to three parents or guardians per student. Each invite is a one-time link valid for 30 days, usually shared over WhatsApp.

3

Or Export Invite Links for the Whole Institute

For a large batch, staff can download a CSV of student name, parent mobile and invite link for every student with a parent mobile on file, and send it through the bulk messaging tool the institute already uses.

4

The Parent Signs In With a Mobile Number

The parent opens the link, confirms the child, reads the data notice and sets a password. After that they sign in at parents.theacademix.com with their mobile number and password.

5

Staff Can Get a Parent Back In

If a parent forgets the password, they can reset it by email if one is on file, or staff can send a fresh reset link or a one-time password from the institute's parent directory.
