Q: Can I get a refund if I don’t use the platform?
A: No. Lack of usage does not entitle you to a refund. You must cancel before the next billing cycle to avoid charges.
Q: What happens if I cancel mid-month?
A: You retain access until the end of your paid period. No partial month refund is provided for monthly subscriptions.
Q: Can I get a refund if I’m not satisfied with the platform?
A: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual subscriptions may receive pro-rata refund if canceled within 30 days of initial purchase.
Q: How long does a refund take?
A: Typically 15-25 business days from request to receipt for online payments. 20-30 business days for offline payments (cheque, DD, bank transfer).
Q: Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?
A: We do not currently offer subscription pausing. You must cancel and resubscribe when ready to resume.
Q: What if I was charged twice?
A: Contact us immediately. Duplicate charges are refunded in full within 5-7 business days after verification.
Q: Do I get a refund for unused students on my plan?
A: No. You pay for the plan tier capacity, not per-student usage. Reduce student count for next billing cycle to lower future charges.
Q: Can I transfer my subscription to another institution?
A: Subscriptions are non-transferable. Cancel and have the new institution create their own account.
Q: What happens to my data after cancellation?
A: You have 30 days to export data. After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted (except records required by law).
Q: I paid by cheque. How will I receive my refund?
A: Refunds for cheque payments are processed via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS) to your institutional bank account. You must provide bank details.
Q: What about refunds for students who paid fees through the platform?
A: The Academix does NOT refund students. You (the institution) are solely responsible for all student refunds. See Section 3.
Q: Are transaction fees refundable?
A: No. Payment processor fees, bank charges, and transaction fees are non-refundable.
Q: Can I get a partial refund if I downgrade my plan?
A: No. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle with no mid-cycle refund.
